Hunting for Pine Cones to make Bird Feeders
On our way to Target to purchase bird seed
So many choices of animal food. The kids discovered that there was food for guinea pigs, indoor birds, hamsters, and rabbits.
We all looked around to find the food for wild outdoor birds. Can you believe it, the kids found the right bag.
We lifted bags and talked about heavy and light
We got what we needed to make our bird feeders. Now, back to preschool!
On our way out of the store we heard baby birds chirping. We discovered that there was a bird's nest inside the letter "G".
We also spotted birds in the parking lot
Once back at school, we spread peanut butter on the pine cones and rolled them in bird seed.
We worked hard spreading the peanut butter all by ourselves.
When we finished the pine cones Ms. Ashley helped tie a ribbon to the top. We took them home and hung them from our trees in our yard to feed the birds.
The weather was beautiful that day!
We had a picnic outdoors
What a busy morning we had!
