The preschoolers played a matching game. They also worked on reading fruit and vegetable words.
We divided up big photos of foods into categories. The children learned about grains, fruits, vegetables, and, proteins.
Jason brought a food pyramid chart for show-and-tell. The children told Jason which foods were healthy and which ones were not.

Natalee brought plastic fruits and vegetables to show her friends. She told us which one is her favorite!
One of our preschooler's parents brought cut-up pieces of watermelon and cantaloupe to share for snack time. What a delicious healthy treat!!!!!
Yum, yum, yum!!! Everyone had an empty bowl at they end!
When we went on a field trip to the berry farm we saw many healthy fruits and vegetables
We spotted different colors of onions.
We spotted tomatoes.
We spotted small and large onions.
We spotted several types of potatoes.
We spotted corn on the cob and learned about the husks.
We spotted different sizes of cucumbers. We discussed how they make pickles out of cucumbers.
One of our preschoolers chose onions to purchase. The children read the numbers on the scale.
We saw black berries being weighed.
We saw peaches that were divided up into containers.
Ms. Ashley read us the "Very Hungry Caterpillar" book.
The caterpillar ate many fruits and veggies before it turned into a beautiful butterfly.
Next, the children painted wooden fruits and vegetables.
Everyone chose a color.
We painted yellow lemons, orange oranges, green limes, purple and green grapes, orange carrots, and green pears.
WE LOVE TO GO ON WALKS!!!!!
THAT KEEPS OUR BODIES HEALTHY AND STRONG!!!!
