Being a Responsible Pet Owner Unit

Look at the bunny we found near our playground!
The preschoolers share photos of their pets from home

Some of us have cats. Some of us have dogs. Some of us have both!

We made the "Home Living Center" into an Animal Hospital
We checked people in to see the Veterinarian
The Vet looks over the animals to make sure they are healthy

The kids had a blast answering phones
We checked the animal's temperature and heartbeat

Sitting in the lobby waiting to see the vet
Brushing a bear

A photo of a doggie with Santa
We are great parents to our pets

We each adopted our pets and got a certificate

The kids had so much fun pretending to be a vet and work in a animal hospital. They all asked Ms. Ashley if we could keep the office set up for another week. How could I say no to these sweet faces????

Groundhog Day

Groundhog Artwork
He really does see his shadow in our artwork!

We watched the groundhog online...

An early spring is on the way, according to groundhog "Punxsutawney Phil." When the Pennsylvania groundhog emerged from his dwelling at Gobbler's Knob on Feb 2, 2013, he did not see his shadow.

Madelynn brought Time Magazine for Kids to share with our group
We discussed equality and how we want everyone to be treated fairly and with respect.
The preschoolers wrote about their dreams.
Ms. Ashley points to the large crowd that came to see Martin Luther King Jr. speak

We learned so many new things and understand how important it is to treat people fairly.
We celebrate you Mr. King!!!!
You made many things possible for the future's children!

Ms. Ashley Donates Her Hair to Locks of Love

This is the second time Ms. Ashley has donated her hair to locks of love. She has so much hair she is able to donate two pony tails. The last time she donated her hair was two years ago. Boy does her hair grow fast!

Look how long Ms. Ashley's hair is!

 WOW, what a difference!

Locks of Love is a wonderful organization. They use donated hair to create wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer or other illnesses. Locks of Love has a 10 inch pony tail requirement for donation. One of their main contributors of hair is children. Visit their website for more information about how you can give a donation today!!!
