Community Helpers Week

Our class has been working on a Community Helpers Unit...

We invited guest speakers to come into our school and talk about their important jobs. One of our preschooler's mommy is a nurse. She brought in some of her equipment that she uses for her job.

 The kids got to listen to each other's heartbeats

 They also took a look at their friend's ears and throats.

They even got to use the blood pressure cuff.

 When we visited the Recycling Center we learned that the people that work there are community helpers too!

 We use re-usable shopping bags in the "Home-Living" Center just like we do at home with our parents

 Show-and-Tell: Bring in a recyclable item to share and deliver to the recycling center

 We brought paper, cans, bottles, cardboard, and many other items to add to our recycle box
