Celebrating our Nations Heroes~Armed Services Unit~Veteran Guest Speaker

We welcomed our guest speaker! He is a former Sergeant in the Army.
We counted how many tanks we saw in the picture

Look...the tank has a star on it!
The soldier is jumping off of his tank. What a great photo!
Our speaker showed us his army jacket and photos of himself in his uniform with his tank.
We learned about the branches of the military.
We saw many photos of different places in Germany

We learned that there are many jobs in the military. Our speaker's job was a tank driver. He was a very lucky soldier who did not get injured during his time in the military.
We dressed up in our military uniforms too!!!

Thank You For Speaking To Our Class! We learned many new things about being a soldier!

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE SOLDIER'S WHO KEEP US SAFE!!

Field Trip to Exploration Place: Honoring Our History: World War I Traveling Exhibit Gallery Wichita, Kansas

We visited the traveling World War I Exhibit Gallery at Exploration Place
We brought along our military helmets and anxiously awaited what was inside the gallery.
We read about the job of horses in the war and how they helped the soldiers.
There were many neat things to see; uniforms, helmets, weapons, tools, and equipment.
The preschoolers were pretty excited to see all of the military items!

 A Navy soldier's uniform
A wall that looked like a real trench that the soldier's used.
The children spotted many things in the old photos. They pointed out flags, vehicles, and people in uniforms.

This nest had a piece of plastic in it
This nest was made with string and twine
The mommy duck had blue feathers hidden underneath the brown feathers
